Christopher DeRosier
FOUNDER / PRINCIPAL
Christopher DeRosier is an educator, innovator, and school leader with more than two decades of experience in K–12 education including eight years in the elementary classroom before joining Galaxy Middle School in 2011, where he has served as Media Specialist, Director of Galaxy STEM Academy, and Testing Coordinator. Christopher has been instrumental in developing TDI STEM Academy’s vision of rigorous academics, STEM innovation, and teacher-driven leadership. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Educational Leadership at Stetson University and In the process of earning his Bachelor's of Science in Uncrewed Autonomous Systems from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Chris remains committed to creating meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for future success. -
Jeff Krob
FOUNDER / LEAD INNOVATOR PRIME
A veteran educator with 32 years of experience inspiring students through hands-on, inquiry-based science education. Since joining Galaxy Middle School in 1994, he has taught generations of students while leading innovative STEM initiatives, including the development of Galaxy STEM Academy and more than 50 interactive learning labs. As a longtime Science Olympiad coach, he guided teams to 11 top-ten state finishes and two national tournament appearances. Jeff has also spent more than two decades mentoring educators, supporting curriculum development, and leading professional learning across the district. Known for his creativity, humor, and unwavering belief in student potential, he remains dedicated to expanding access to high-quality STEM education and fostering a lifelong love of learning. -
Sally Brichler
FOUNDER / BOARD MEMBER
Sally Brichler is an experienced science educator with more than 25 years of dedication to inspiring student curiosity, critical thinking, and academic achievement. Since 1999, she has taught science at Galaxy Middle School. Known for her engaging, hands-on approach to learning, Sally creates inclusive, inquiry-based classrooms that encourage students to explore scientific concepts through experimentation, problem-solving, and real-world applications. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Psychology from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern University. Her commitment to STEM education, differentiated instruction, and student-centered learning continues to help students develop the skills and confidence needed for future success.

Jessica Lovett
BOARD MEMBER
A respected manufacturing leader, workforce development advocate, and economic development champion who serves as President & CEO of the Volusia Manufacturers Association. With expertise spanning human resource development, operational excellence, finance, executive leadership, and STEM education, Ms. Lovett has dedicated her career to strengthening the manufacturing sector and building pathways between education and industry. Jessica is a founding partner of the FAME Sunshine Chapter and a founding member of Volusia Business Resources, where she works to develop a skilled workforce prepared for high-demand careers. A passionate supporter of STEM education, she has led initiatives including Girls in STEM programs, robotics clubs, and teacher training opportunities. -
William Self
BOARD MEMBER
A veteran, healthcare leader, educator, and entrepreneur, Dr. Self has dedicated his career to serving others through leadership, innovation, and advocacy. From his service as a U.S. Army infantryman to his work as a doctoral-prepared Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist, he has built a reputation for advancing healthcare quality, access, and professional excellence. His experience spans clinical practice, higher education, mentoring doctoral students, and healthcare leadership, providing a unique perspective on workforce development and lifelong learning. A strong advocate for STEM education, he believes that critical thinking, innovation, and resilience are essential skills for future success and is committed to helping students develop the confidence and curiosity needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Dr. Jason Ottley
BOARD MEMBER
Dr. Ottley is an accomplished educational leader, equity scholar, and leadership coach with more than 18 years of experience spanning K–12 administration, higher education, and state-level educational initiatives. Throughout his career, he has led organizational improvement efforts, developed aspiring and practicing school leaders, and advanced systemic change through research-based leadership practices. His work focuses on translating equity research into actionable strategies that improve outcomes for all students, particularly those from historically underserved populations. Combining scholarly expertise with real-world leadership experience, he is committed to fostering inclusive, data-informed, and student-centered educational systems that drive meaningful and lasting improvement. He currently serves at Stetson University as a full-time faculty member in Educational Leadership graduate program preparing aspiring principals and district administrators for leadership roles in diverse K-12 settings.

Dr. Drew Olsen

Dr. Drew Olson is an accomplished educational leader, professor, and leadership coach with extensive experience in K–12 and higher education. As President of the Leadership Development Network, Executive Director of the Florida League of Middle Schools, and a professor of Educational Leadership at Stetson University, he helps develop current and future leaders through a focus on strategic planning, organizational improvement, and effective leadership practices. Throughout his career, Dr. Olson has successfully led school improvement initiatives, implemented data-driven systems, and guided underperforming schools toward sustained success. Drawing on decades of experience as a district leader, principal, professor, and consultant, he is committed to fostering innovation, accountability, and equity while helping organizations and individuals reach their full potential.

Dr. Shelley McMillan

Dr. Shelley McMillen is an educator, researcher, and instructional leader with more than 20 years of experience in science education, teacher development, and educational leadership. Currently serving as a Course Instructor at Western Governors University and Executive Director of the Florida League of Middle Schools, she has dedicated her career to supporting student success, developing educators, and advancing innovative learning practices. Prior to her work in higher education, Dr. McMillen spent 15 years at Galaxy Middle School, where she led STEM initiatives, served as Science Department Chair, and coached academic competition teams. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Teaching along with advanced degrees in Education and Educational Psychology. A passionate advocate for student-centered learning, educational technology, and STEM education, Dr. McMillen brings a unique blend of classroom expertise, research knowledge, and leadership experience to support the success of students, educators, and schools.

Tammy Buckler
BOARD MEMBER
Tammy Buckler is an experienced operations and administrative professional with more than a decade of expertise supporting organizations in higher education, healthcare, and public service. As the Administrative and Operations Coordinator at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, she manages complex departmental operations, including budgeting, hiring, event planning, and professional development initiatives. Tammy is known for her strong organizational skills, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to building supportive workplace cultures, including founding and leading Embry-Riddle’s Administrative Assistant Committee. Her professional background also includes roles in healthcare administration, patient care coordination, and customer service with organizations such as DaVita Kidney Care, the Florida Department of Children and Families, and Florida Orthopaedic Associates. Dedicated to teamwork, efficiency, and service, Tammy brings valuable operational expertise and a people-centered approach to every organization she serves.
